# Your ticket & wallet passes

Once you're registered, your event page shows your **boarding pass** — your ticket for the event. The QR code on it is what staff scan to check you in at the venue.

## Ways to carry your ticket

Pick whichever is easiest — they all contain the same QR code:

* **Apple Wallet** — tap **Add to Apple Wallet** on your event page (iPhone). The pass lives in your Wallet app and works offline.
* **Google Wallet** — tap **Add to Google Wallet** (Android).
* **PDF** — tap **Download PDF** for a printable version.
* **Just the web page** — showing the QR code on your event page works fine too.
* **The Attend app** — your dashboard links to the iOS and Android apps, which keep your boarding pass and event info handy on your phone.

<Tip>
  **Add the wallet pass before you travel.** Venue wifi and cell coverage can be flaky, and wallet passes work with no connection at all.

## The school excuse letter

Missing school for the event? Your event page also has an **Excuse letter** button — it downloads a signed PDF letter you can hand to your school explaining where you'll be and why it's a legitimate absence.

## Troubleshooting

**"The wallet buttons aren't showing."** Wallet passes are switched on per event — if you don't see the buttons, that event isn't issuing them (the PDF and web QR still work). If a button shows but fails, try again in a few minutes and make sure your registration status is Complete.

**"Can someone else use my QR code?"** No — it's tied to your registration, and staff see your name and headshot when they scan it. Don't share screenshots of your code.
